Dartmoor Discovery

£250 per day for two to six persons (food and drink not included)

Let Tich, your tour guide take you on a journey past farmsteads and fields, explore areas unaffected by time and learn about farming through the decades.

Hear about the Famous Dartmoor ponies which roam freely over the rugged landscape and the many tors – in all weathers; along side the cattle and sheep which graze on the moorland.

Discover Widdecombe-in-the-Moor and learn about Uncle Tom Cobley and all! See where the two Dart rivers meet at Dartmeet, legend has it that the river claims one life per year and can be heard calling it’s victim beforehand.

The Warren House Inn is the third highest public house in England, the fire is still lit after 175 years. Stop for lunch at one of the historical hotels or pubs on the moor, Bovey Castle, The Two Bridges Inn or The Oxenham Arms; alternatively enjoy a Devon cream tea at The Bedford Hotel or Gidleigh Park.

Hidden Hamlets and their Churches

Sit back and relax as you are driven across open moorland, down Dartmoor’s many narrow lanes passing through hidden hamlets enjoying stunning landscapes and breathtaking vistas.

Tours are for two to six persons and take place in a luxury 4x4 Land Rover. See the Parish churches of Gidleigh, South Zeal and Throwleigh to name but a few, all very different from each other. Stop for lunch at the Northmoor Arms, Kestor Inn or the Carpenters Arms maybe.

Your guide Tich has lived and worked in the County of Devon for all of his life, he loves to share his vast wealth of knowledge of the area and can trace his family back to the 16th Century.

Dartmoor River Cruise, Agatha Christies’ Greenway Home

A pleasant drive into South Devon and Dartmouth, explore its quaint shops and hear about the railway station which has never seen a train.

Take the ferry up to Greenway House the home of Agatha Christie the famous author of crime novels. After your visit Tich will meet you and continue on to the Stannery town of Ashburton for shopping and return over Dartmoor to your hotel.

The Eden Project and Cornish Fishing Villages

Travel down to the Eden Project for a 2-4 hour visit at this marvellous attraction.

We will then continue our tour to Fowey. Hear about Mary Bryant who sailed on the first fleet to Botany Bay in shackles as a prisoner. We will cross the river on the ferry and move on to the fishing villages of Polperro with its narrow streets and Looe before returning home across the moor.
